Jimmy Maloney, 55, passed away suddenly July 18, 2002, at his home in Mission, KS. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, July 22, 2002, 10 a.m., at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 5250 Mission Rd., Roeland Park, KS. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Kansas City, MO. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday, July 21, at the McGilley & Hoge Johnson County Chapel, where a rosary will be said at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Agnes Catholic Church.
Jim was born May 27, 1947, in Kansas City. MO, the oldest of six children, born to James Sr. and Jeanne Maloney. He attended Visitation grade school, Rockhurst High School and St. Mary's College in Dodge City, KS. Jim worked as a sales representative in the industrial sales business for 34 years, spending the last 29 years with Bearing Headquarters Company in Kansas City, KS. A hard and dedicated worker, he soon earned a reputation as a true expert in the field, both in product knowledge and superior customer service. Jim loved the Kansas City Chiefs and the Royals. He was also an avid fan of Missouri Football and Basketball. He was a Member of the St. Agnes Catholic Church, and his hobbies included bowling, taking care of his yard and keeping up with his three grandchildren.
Jim was predeceased by his father, James P. Maloney Sr., his sister, Kathleen Maloney Edson, brother, Kevin J. Maloney, grandparents, Rollo and Helen Faubion, and Emmet and Margaret Maloney. He leaves his wife of 34 years, Jennie Maloney of the home, son, James P. Maloney III and his wife, Vickie; grandchildren, Zachary, Trevor, and Abby Maloney of Park City, KS; mother, Jeanne Maloney, Shawnee, KS; mother-in-law, Genevieve Sutter of Lenexa, KS; brothers, Terence Maloney, Overland Park, KS, Tim Maloney, Gardnerville, NV, Mike Maloney, Leawood, KS.
Jim will be sadly missed by his friends and family.
